Today one of our members went down to the island. Where they found many of the banners that were zip tied along the fencing on the way onto the island gone.
So someone intentionally removed them. These banners were paid for through the donations of many kind persons and businesses that believe in the mission of the Island. The Board of Directors of Veterans Island Project is saddened and concerned with this incident. The Island is a special place for many and for it to be defaced in any manner is unacceptable.
