I really wish I had taken "before" pictures of these rings. They came to me all smashed and bent up. The ring with the stone looked like it had been stepped on, flattening it like a pancake and popping the stone out. After a lot of bending and reshaping, a little soldering, some polishing and reshaping/ setting the stone, that look as good as new!

I think my favorite part of my job is and will always be making people custom jewelry out of their personal Lake Superior Agate finds.

Coldwater agate is Lake Superior Agate's less popular, less attractive cousin. However, once you split them open, you'll find a beautiful combination of swirls, lines and plumes almost every time. This is a great example! Specimen found by Jess Lensing.
