Never Forgotten Series 🤍 Mu 🤍
“Mu was my best friend, my ride-or-die companion, my soul cat. She came into my life as a behavior foster, because she was so scared and upset at the shelter that they thought she might have to be released through the feral barn cat program. She always kept that strong, sassy energy, and drew more than a little blood from me over the years, haha.
She was also the smartest girl in the world, and got herself into more than a little trouble over the years by being too smart for her own good, like the time she ate a sock or the time she ate the 85-lb dog’s medicine; we lovingly called her The Dark Lord Mucifer when she was being naughty.
But she was also my constant companion, never ever leaving me alone if she could help it. If she knew I was behind a closed door, she’d paw at it and meow until I let her in to sit in my lap. She loved to sleep in my arms or right next to my head, and would let me bury my face in her tummy when I was sad. In spite of hiding in our closet for the first two weeks we fostered her, she came to trust me so much that she would let me draw her blood for her kidney rechecks on my own at home (I’m a vet tech, haha). She was the most beautiful cat that’s ever existed, and I’m going to miss her every day for the rest of my life.
Thank you for teaching me everything you did; I see a little piece of you in every single patient I care for. I love you with my whole heart, my baby girl ❤️🩹 ~ Mu’s mom
