No, I didn’t forget to sweep our steps and porch. One of the many signs of spring in Provincetown is the return of Arcadia’s nesting sparrows, who build a nest every year tucked into the side of our gallery windowsill AC. They’ve been building an especially large nest this year - and lots of “construction debris” lands all around the store front. It’s way quieter than more typical construction in town though 😉 If you’re on Good Templar Place, the alley between Arcadia and Joon Bar, just look up - you cant miss it.

It’s whale season once again, and our driftwood whale maker has just delivered a stack of these one of a kind, affordable carvings. Made from driftwood collected from across New England, no two are alike, but all of them are individually photographed so you can choose which of the 47 whales currently in stock you want to adopt.

This magnificent blown glass bowl from Alabama is now on its way to Naples, Florida to grace the living room of new customers of Arcadia visiting Provincetown this week. The water bowl collection includes 3 color options in three sizes, starting at $1195.

It’s Memorial Day Weekend so of course, I’m drowning in Christmas stuff…🤣 Last year my maker in Michigan just couldn’t keep up with your demand for her fabulous rainbow Christmas trees made from upcycled sweaters and birch bases, so I’m following the classic playbook of “order early and order BIG” so we can hopefully stay ahead of you folks this year! 30 trees in two sizes just arrived and are now on display in store and available online, same great price as last year.

Plus, introducing these simple, adorable and “oh, why didn’t I think of that” Christmas decor; Santas made from pieces of ash wood branches and classic Christmas stocking ornaments in either ash or walnut, handmade in Missouri and just $12.95 each. 4 pieces sold yesterday as I was unpacking them so I suspect these will also be SUPER popular this year.

It’s gloriously sunny and warm here in Provincetown (finally!) and these new glass platters are just glowing in the sunlight. Murrine glass made with hundreds of canes of colored glass, cut and fused together to create magnificently functional works of art for your home. Featuring four color ways; fire, water, air and earth, each platter has a graceful gentle curve and a large flat central oval area so they are truly functional as serving pieces but also amazing as centerpieces - definitely not something to be put away between uses!
