Womencrafts is located at the tip of Cape Cod, nestled in the heart and soul of Provincetown, MA. We are women-owned and operated, and for over three decades our loyal customers have considered us a primary source for jewelry, pottery, gifts, lesbian/feminist literature, music, DVDs and more. All of our jewelry, pottery and gifts are hand-crafted by women. We help support well over 100 women artists and artisans from Maine to Hawaii, and now Canada as well. Those of you already familiar with Womencrafts will realize that our site covers only a fraction of our available merchandise. As always, we will continue to take phone orders on our entire line. Last Women's Week, my friend and Girl Scout troop co-leader wondered about having an art opening at the Ptown Commons. She wrote proposals, planned, brainstormed, and was inspired by women's words to make her show "Women's Work." One of the first things we bonded about was our mutual love of music and in particular Ani Difranco. When she read The Web of Interdependence she was driven to create something out of those words and with her own art. We have texted while she hand stitched, bemoaned her cramping hands, and been in awe of the final product. Stephanie is a badass, tattooed, q***r mama who makes things from that are sustainable and functional and serve a purpose. Her purpose is great and I'm so glad she is part of the Womencrafts' family. Please go see her show at the Commons.

Wow, front row to see Pamela Means open the Community Dinner Showcase. Her song set the tone for a night of remarkable women. Our personal is always political and that is why in a moment of history like the one we are in now we don't stay home and we don't only protest against we create art as the antidote. I had fun last night not despite the political truth telling but because of it. May all revelers in Women's Week have a joyful week. Abolish Ice.

Prints are selling out, so if you're not in town and would like one please email [email protected] to confirm they are still in stock and I will send you an invoice and a print! There are a few smaller original paintings available in the shop as well.
