Womencrafts is located at the tip of Cape Cod, nestled in the heart and soul of Provincetown, MA. We are women-owned and operated, and for over three decades our loyal customers have considered us a primary source for jewelry, pottery, gifts, lesbian/feminist literature, music, DVDs and more. All of our jewelry, pottery and gifts are hand-crafted by women. We help support well over 100 women artis

ts and artisans from Maine to Hawaii, and now Canada as well. Those of you already familiar with Womencrafts will realize that our site covers only a fraction of our available merchandise. Friday was an example of my favorite days- local and visiting friends, baby d***s and q***r elders, poetry, art, and activism. The depth of conversation and connection that 50'years affords us is incomparable.

I remember driving 20+ years ago, listening to NPR, and thinking about how smart all the guests are. I wondered what topic I could become knowledgeable enough in to be such a guest. It was almost an icebreaker I would ask people- if you were to find yourself on NPR, what would you be discussing? Today I found out, in drive time morning traffic no less- it is Womencrafts and q***r community. I'll take it. There's a link to the segment in the profile. Thank you and for telling part of our story.

Sarah Schulman's play, "The Mirror Isn't a Window: Roe vs Wade," was phenomenal. I hope it sees many more stages and sparks many more conversations. The reading of this true history highlighted how abortion sits at the intersection of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, and religion. It was in a room with so many people I love talking and thinking about such important topics. I am so grateful to know and learn from such a smart writer.
