⭐️ THE DESIGN
Black Hills Gold jewelry is inspired by the grapes that saved the life of a miner in the gold rush era - see the legend below! Each piece features grape-styled leaves in traditional rose and green tinted 12kt gold, set on solid gold or sterling silver designs.

🍇 THE LEGEND
In the late 1800s, a French jeweler named John LeBeau came to the legendary old west town of Deadwood with the hope of striking gold. Unfamiliar with the Black Hills terrain, LeBeau became hopelessly lost in the wilderness. He collapsed of exhaustion and dreamed of lush vineyards from his home country. LeBeau awoke, starved and parched... and luckily stumbled across a grapevine growing near a creek! In honor of the lifesaving grapes, LeBeau crafted gold designs he called the "good luck" jewelry. The trend spread among other miners hoping for a little luck, and the jewelry soon became known as Black Hills Gold.
