The Palace Reno Making life more affordable since 1958. Tag: It’s people working together to serve the customers and each other. That is our philosophy.

Welcome to Palace Jewelry & Loan!
• Family owned and operated since 1958, our Company is not just bricks and mortar, computers and signs. While our Company today hardly resembles our first small store on Commercial Row, our early values still remain.

• Our beginnings…

• In March of 1958, Dennis and Joan Mack started on the road to business success by purchasing a tiny gift shop with a pawn license, on East Commercial Row in Reno, Nevada, by the name of Palace Jewelry & Loan Company.

• Soon thereafter, a merger with Royal and Madeline Goodsell, Joan’s parents, took place, forming a most compatible and enduring partnership.

• After over 50 years, two moves and three expansions, “The Palace” stands apart and above in individuality and vision. The location may have changed, but the philosophy remains the same.

• We are now located at 300 North Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada 89501! Right across the street from the Eldorado Hotel and Casino with Free parking right behind the store.

Trunk or Treat is back in our parking lot, and this year your kid gets to negotiate with a pawn broker.

Saturday October 31, noon to 4pm, 300 N. Virginia Street.

Here is how the Kidz Pawn works. Your kid brings a brand new toy to donate. They sit down across the table from one of our brokers and they negotiate for it, properly, out loud, with a parent right next to them. The toy goes to a child who needs it. Your kid walks out having learned something about being generous and something about being tough, and with up to $5 in their pocket.

We fully expect to lose most of those negotiations.

There is also candy from every decorated trunk in the lot, a free photo booth, face painting, and a secret gift hidden in some of the bags.

Free. No tickets. Just turn up in costume.

Serving Reno since 1958.

We pulled out some of the best Italian things we have in the store. Swipe through, each one has its own story. The last card is the one with the food on 👨🏻‍🍳🇮🇹🤌🏼

Prada pulled this shape out of their own 1995 archive and put it back into production. Quilted Re Nylon, gold chain, still unmistakable thirty years later.

Named after the opera. Three short links, one long, repeating. Italians have been making this pattern the same way for generations, and solid 14K still outlives all of us. This one is a two tone with diamond cuts facets on the links.

The with its original box and dust bag. The green and red web stripe has been on Gucci pieces since the 1950s, borrowed from saddle girths.

The Italian horn. Worn for good fortune and to keep bad luck at a distance, given as a gift rather than bought for yourself, and found around more Italian necks than any other charm. Solid 14K gold.

Bottega never put a logo on it. The weave is the signature. Intrecciato leather takes hours to make by hand, and the matching wallet comes with it.

Italy has been the chain making capital of the world for centuries. The town of Arezzo alone has turned out more gold chain than most countries ever will. This is solid 14K in that same tradition, not plated, not hollow.

From the Donna collection. Armani kept the frame almost impossibly thin so the shape does all the talking. Ligh

For decades, the Beretta M9 served as the trusted sidearm of the U.S. Armed Forces. With the introduction of the M9A4, that legendary reliability has been completely modernized for the 21st century.

Retaining the iconic open-slide design and smooth double-action/single-action trigger, the A4 brings heavy-duty upgrades to the table. It features a red-dot ready slide, an aggressive texturized Vertec-style grip for better ergonomics, and a threaded barrel right out of the box. It’s a masterclass in blending military heritage with modern tactical requirements.

Are you a fan of the classic M9 styling, or do you prefer the modernized A4 updates? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! 👇

When it comes to finding the perfect everyday carry setup, balance is everything. You need something slim enough to prevent printing, lightweight enough for all-day comfort, and backed by a reputation for absolute reliability.

For years, the Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield has remained a gold standard in the concealed carry community for exactly those reasons. Its micro-compact frame disappears easily under a standard T-shirt, yet it offers the ergonomic grip texture and confident control of a much larger platform.
