So I'm turning 35 at the end of the month...⁣
⁣
Funny thing is, I feel pressure - but it's tempered. It's more inner fuel and gratification of effort off the scenes than suffocation or disappointment. It’s been a busy year thus far of inner framework rebuilding & generally, education building as I build up to launch some new things (yay, I have finished a few guides & working towards video to go along) & you know.. life just throwing it’s curveballs! All is well, but it means I’m quiet around here! ⁣

I haven’t had much time or desire to get weekday hair fancy being it’s winter and I’m busy with work keeping me indoors more. Plus… sweaters, lots of sweaters. Lots of tangles. Lots of ponies. That being said, the days I wash my hair I’m still doing a good day one blow dry. Always. It saves me time and just makes me feel better. I adjust my wardrobe accordingly, and it keeps my hair going longer, no matter how I style it. ⁣

Kristen is a perfect example of why I structure appointments in a more modern, individual service booking.⁣

New appointments are often lengthier because of newness to each other & consultation time. I always recommended selecting a lengthier service option when booking, but instead of doing a heavier dimensional painting just to make more money, I decided after our consult that another direction was best to start.⁣
⁣
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀⁣
✨ V dense, thick natural hair, services every 3-4 months⁣
✨ Dryness concentrated on the ends ⁣
✨ Weight removal was needed to lighten the shape & being more movement ⁣
✨Prior color brassed out & dulling, fading results in loss of dimension ⁣
✨Dark roots around face frame were the primary regrowth issues ⁣
⁣
The best option for now would more of a “petite refresh” Vs adding lots of new dimension. ⁣

She enjoys being brunette, so the overall goal was tone & adjust depth. This keeps her hair healthier throughout the dryer winter months, and when she’s due for a reshape closer to summer we can add more brightness, if she’s in the mood!⁣

I prefer to have more time than be crunched and rushing you out the door, regretful. Getting to know someone’s hair and how it individually reacts to color takes time, so it’s always better to have extra. Some hair is denser, coarser or more damaged and requires a little more time or TLC. ⁣

This also leaves time to style, take photos, and go over any questions about home care challenges or product/styling recommendations you have 🎀🫧🫶⁣

The most common dry shampoo mistakes come from not maximizing the potential in that can! ⁣
⁣
👍 Lightly spritzing fresh hair increases texture, adds volume, and gives a little grip!⁣
⁣
👍 Massaging scalp & brushing your hair spreads product. Grab a blowdryer and do a dry refresh for extra power.⁣
⁣
👍 Smaller Sections! Don't try and spray all over in a big circle - save that for hairspray.⁣
⁣
🛑 Don't use too much dry shampoo⁣
⁣
⌛️ Using too late ⁣
⁣
👎 Spraying less than 6" away. A mist spreads out, we're going for coverage!⁣

- Powdery film or product build up ⁣
- Generally make things smell good but look... dry. ⁣
