Been painting this new series, which i intend to inform another parallel series i've been puzzled by. These figurative ghostly floral fabric phenomena are an evolution of pieces I made last year - figure-less textiles draped over abandoned architectural armature.
To me they look pretty and sad at the same time. Weighing loss and memory perhaps.
Still abstract somehow

My studio door will be open for this weekend, sat-sun 12-6pm, come by and say hi.
i've made a bit of an installation with this new triptych, interspersed with tiny framed gilded relics that echo some of the vocab of the big scary ones... they're more ceremonial, little divination cards and big harbingers tapestries. lots of other work up too, prints, sketchbooks, and more!
