Well it’s been a minute since I’ve posted. I think it’s been a bit over a year since I’ve actually shared what’s going on at Scarlette Dove.
For starters many of you know that I’m no longer at the Painted Tree. Back in April the company abruptly went bankrupt and closed all of their stores. This meant I no longer had my store in San Antonio, or the nine others throughout the United States. This also meant that as hard as I worked, they kept all of my funds, including what was owed to me for nine stores for almost. I was not alone in the horrible mess they left all of there vendors in the middle of a mess.
With the closing of the stores back in April, I decided to take a mini break. In that time I did search for a brick and mortar, but I’ve been there and done that already and at this stage of life I don’t really feel like doing that again. I looked for other vendor operated stores but I wasn’t feeling the vibe. I decided to just take a break, learn a new medium, and just relax.
Then it happened. When one door closed another opened. I received an email from a manager, who needs to work at the Painted Tree. She emailed and asked if I would be interested in setting up a space at The Collective Boutiques. I was told it is now owned by new buyers who are also vendors. The concept is still the same, but it’s a little different. And speaking with her it just seemed so much better than it was before. I accepted the offer and began moving in last week.!! I am so excited! The Collective is located in the same area that was formally the Painted Tree.
I’m very grateful to be up and running somewhere and even more excited that I managed to get my same space W6 back. 😊
If you’re out and about tomorrow we’re having a soft opening tomorrow! Hope to see you there!
