Cotton and linen blend Type II denim jackets from Iron Heart have landed. These jackets are built from a uniquely textured cotton/linen denim that delivers the visual depth of heavyweight indigo fabric with a noticeably lighter and drier hand feel. The linen fibers create a slightly irregular surface with subtle character and an airiness that makes it easier to wear through warmer seasons than traditional heavyweight denim jackets. Nobody does denim jackets like Iron Heart, so we’re happy to see them do their popular modified Type III in a custom developed 17oz selvedge cotton duck fabric. These have a cotton twill placket, two hand warmer pockets, and a slightly longer length so they can easier be worn with un-tucked shirts.

These jackets are made from chrome-tanned Himeji horsehide and finished with classic Iron Heart detailing. Now at all stores in limited numbers.

Flat Head cordovan horsehide engineer boots from Flat Head are back, and they look absolutely amazing.

These are the ultimate cordovan engineer boot; this cordovan version has a slightly shorter shaft compared to the cowhide version of the same boot. These are made by a small shop which generally only produces boots for Flat Head’s line of footwear which they’ve been producing since 1999. Made of a Japanese tanned cordovan horsehide which has been vegetable tannin dyed then paraffin waxed, these will look unbelievable once worn in. These come complete with custom made brass and iron buckles, Vibram’s #700 and #705 heel and sole, a hand-stitched shaft seam, and a Japanese made steel shank for sole stability.

Due to the limited availability of cordovan leather these will not be restocked as often as their cowhide counterparts.

Slubby denim from Studio D’Artisan is back. These GL3 SD-1001 (classic straight leg), SD-1008 (relax tapered), SD-1002 (wide leg) models are Studio D’Artisan’s newest jean models made of their newly developed slubby 15oz denim.  They nailed the feel and look of this denim, with the 15oz weight it’s a heavy denim which can be worn year round.  SDA truly nailed the perfect amount of slub yarn character for just the right about of slub pattern in the denim.  This denim is unsanforized (but rinsed) and has some great character to it; it starts out a little darker than your average raw indigo jean so it’s sure to look great once the patina forms as some areas start to lighten with regular wear.
