I could easily photograph my jewelry once and use AI to stage everything beautifully, put them on models, create endless content, and honestly… it would make my life so much easier.

I have nothing against AI at all and I do appreciate certain help from it here and there. But for me as a visual artist, the soul of Butones has always been in the real process. The repurposing. The making. The styling. The staging. The photographing. The little imperfections, the moments, the hands behind it all.

If I skip too much of that process just to create faster or sell quicker, it stops feeling like me. And it definitely stops feeling like Butones!

That’s also why when you ask to see pieces worn, sometimes it takes me time, and why most of the jewelry is modeled by me because Butones is real in every aspect. The hands behind it are real. The story behind it is real!

Nothing against anyone who chooses differently. Respectfully, each artist has their own core.

You’ll still find Butones at a few meaningful pop ups such as .byhaven and few others, through custom work, and mostly through stories and reels where I can truly share the process and story behind each piece.

Repurposed designer jewelry, handcrafted in California, made for those who connect with pieces that carry history and meaning.

A quieter chapter of Butones Jewelry. More rooted in storytelling, craftsmanship, and intentional design.

So let me tell you the story behind these pieces.

These designer hardwares were shared by Not because she had to, but because she is kind, genuinely supports what I do, and we both believe beautiful materials still deserve a second life instead of being discarded.

This week, I turned them into delicate silver jewelry sets for my silver lovers. No pressure to create a huge collection. No chasing holiday production. Just slow creation because it makes my day happy.

And honestly, this new era feels closer to the true heart of Butones than ever before.

Because repurposing was never only about jewelry. It was always about seeing value where others stop looking.

For me, right now, this is the season where I create when I genuinely feel called to!

Still smiling about last Saturday 🤍

Honestly… it didn’t feel like a “launch.” It felt like one of those days you just had to be there to understand.

To everyone who came through, stayed, talked, listened… thank you. Like really. I got to share the story behind Butones, and even more special… I got to hear yours too. That part? That’s always been my favorite. Butones was never meant to just sit pretty. It’s the stories, the connection, the “wait… this used to be that?” moments.

That’s the essence.

Nothing about this brand is random. Every piece lived a life before you, and somehow still found its way to you. I don’t take that lightly.

To everyone behind the scenes who helped make the day feel so good, thank you for pouring into it! Especially to you, Ate Jay, you really did your thing. The beautiful space, the energy, all the little details, and all your lovely people, you made it feel easy, warm, and just right. Thank you so much for holding that!

This week has been a little chaotic, not gonna lie.

Prepping for Catch22 has my little space looking like this, pieces everywhere, trays half done, jumping from one idea to another like wait… but this is usually how it goes right before everything comes together.

Far from what most assume as perfect, not staged (because who has time for that 😂), just real chaos behind the process. All for this Saturday, where Butones Jewelry lands on her first permanent home.

What I’m realigning:

1. Butones is still here. I am still here. I will always be creating jewelry.

2. I am fully embracing who I am and allowing that to be reflected in everything I create.

3. I am here to create art. Not to chase trends. Not to keep up. Not to produce for the sake of selling.

4. Sustainability is not a concept, and will embrace this fully. I will not break or repurpose designer pieces that are still functional. That defeats the purpose of reducing waste. Those pieces deserve to be worn and loved as they are.

5. I create with intention, not urgency. Every element I work with carries history, and I treat it with the respect it deserves. This is not about reshaping for aesthetics, but continuing its story.

6. I value depth over recognition. Every person who connects with this work matters beyond the label. Meaning will always outweigh the name attached to it.

7. There is a shift away from constant availability into more intentional ways of sharing. Through select boutiques, meaningful collaborations, and spaces that align with what Butones truly represents.

8. I will be opening space for workshops and experiences where people can connect not just with the jewelry, but with the process, the story, and the intention behind it.

9. More room is being created for art and community based events. Not just to showcase pieces, but to create moments of connection, conversation, and shared meaning.

This is me, creating in alignment with who I am, you're friendly Artisan, and trusting it reaches those meant to feel it.
