At ideal Diamond we also specialize in custom jewelry design! One of our favorite things to do is to take pieces from clients that either family heirlooms, broken pieces, out of style or simply just want sometbing new while also using the diamonds they already have!
In this particular case, we took out a emerald cut diamond from an antique ring and set it as a center stone in a diamonds by the yard necklace. The diamonds on the necklace were taken from a tennis bracelet this client had but was too big, and from a smaller pair of diamond earrings she had.
Another thing we did for this client was simply just swap out an old gold chain for a a a new white gold chain and voila you have a new V shaped diamond pendant. We took all of these clients gold and traded it in for scrap!
