The time has finally arrived! My work will be showcased at the Palazzo Bovara (Corso Venezia, 51, 20121, Milano, MI, Italia) this week! My wearable sculptures have been chosen to be part of the “Artistar Jewels” category. This category is based on design, story behind the piece, and process. I will also be part of an Italian publication with a two page spread. Photos coming out soon.✨
I cannot believe this is actually happening. Who would have thought… when you apply for something this big, it can actually happen?! I don’t know whats to come of this. It can be an unforgettable experience or a life changing one. Either way, I am forever grateful for this opportunity. All I have to say is that if there’s something you love to do, just do it. Whether or not it makes you a ton of money, grabs a persons attention at the market your vending, or your “quote on quote” “likes” don’t seem to get enough traction. Who cares. As long as your enjoying what you do. Full send.

This is the FINAL piece of the 4 artworks that will be showcased in the exhibition this week!!! October 24, 25, and 26th. I will return to MILAN leaving tomorrow.🖤🤯⚒️
This silver necklace preserves the naturally shed skin of a red-tailed boa constrictor beneath a glass cabochon framed in silver. Carefully cured by the artist, the piece began as an exploration of process and became a way of preserving something that nature intended to be temporary. Rotating between a cast rattlesnake tail and the suspended boa skin, the wearable sculpture reveals that what is shed is not always left behind.

Through the precise joining of contrasting metals, this wearable sculpture transforms a cherished vintage doily into a bronze cuff, from which silver-cast succulents emerge. Bronze, one of the most resilient metals, is paired with a plant celebrated for its ability to thrive in the harshest conditions, reflecting the courage of living after loss. It reminds us that healing does not erase what has been lost, but allows new life to grow from it.

The cobra, sculpted in wax then cast in silver, stands watch over a lab-created padparadscha sapphire. Drawn from the harmony between beauty and danger, it is presented not as a threat, but as a guardian of what is most precious. Created during the artist’s earliest exploration of lost wax casting, this piece marks the beginning of a sculptural practice and personal language that continues to evolve.

Rebecca Wallace’s sculptural interpretation of a hummingbird skull was carved from memory, then cast in silver. Often regarded as messengers between worlds, hummingbirds became a symbol of her late mother, whose balcony they faithfully visited, though no feeder was present. Delicate in scale yet protective in form, this piece is a reminder that those we love continue to look after us. Every hummingbird now feels like a quiet hello.

I decided to pack an overnight bag and head to Lake Garda. I stumbled upon ContainsOnly Desenzano shop and loved their style.😮‍💨 Valeria, owner and designer, and I connected and she loved my look. Taken aback, she wanted to do a collab post, so here we are. Valeria holds it down with style points and a high vibe. Sweet to the core.

Rebalovesyou, and it’s because I finally learned to love myself. Put myself first before I can show up for anyone else. Took a whole life time and hasn’t stopped here. Now, don’t get it twisted. This means that I finally learned to be comfortable in my own skin. And flow with the obstacles that life throws us. Sometimes so hard, you wanna give it all up. You know you’ve been there. At least once in your life. Someone told me once: “the universe won’t give you anything you can’t handle.” Took a minute to swallow this one, but it helped.
I bring this up because the submissions accepted (Felecia brought this to my attention, not sure why it really hit until she pointed it out) where the inspiration came from my experience I had taking care of my mother, moving through her death, which lead to the work. The story, the grief, the growth, the rebirth, and the shed. All work symbolic of these things. In some shape or form.

Now you know everything about me.
As most of you know, posting is not my strong suit. Takes up so much energy, I prefer the present moment. More posts of the work chosen and their bios coming out soon. Some of which you’ve already seen, but presented in a leveled up manner..
THANK YOU. For all the unwavering support. Community, I love you more than you know. The ones who stuck by my side, through all of the sh*t, and didn’t walk away. I have finally arrived. Clear. And ready for what’s next. Wouldn’t have happened without you. LOVE YOU.🫀.

Your girl, has been accepted into Milan Jewelry Week. I applied, submitted my life’s work, juried my submissions, and asked me to be part of the exhibition. They choose 4 pieces. Some of which I never intended to sell. Those special ones that mean a little more. But I had too. Wanted too. For this moment in time.🫀🇮🇹❤️
This process has been incredibly eye opening, and a lot of hoops to jump through. After a lot of research, late phone calls to the other side of the world, and curation, it was clear it that made more sense to hand deliver the jewelry vs. ship.🫱🏾‍🫲🏿✈️🪽
So here I am. Currently in Milan, Italy. Doing the thing.💎
