Our slogan is “The Shoppe Worth Discovering” this came about in our first 10 years at our original location on the south Tamiami Trail. Terry and Belinda Coffrin opened their first store in 1980. As a Master watchmaker and jewelry designer Terry created and fashioned jewelry pieces for customers to commemorate special events. Jewelry designed and produced for every occasion, some that said I love you, some that said what’s in your heart and some to tell yourself what you felt. Coffins’ focused on Terry’s designs and the designs of small new designers setting the trends for the jewelry market.

With a focus on distinctive jewelry from award-winning American designers, Coffrin Jewelers relocated to 1829 South Osprey Ave, Sarasota among the shops and restaurants in historic South Side Village, where those in the know go to the family –owned jewelry shop for fashion-forward, yet timeless, jewelry pieces.

The knowledgeable and friendly staff help family’s create unique pieces to celebrate special events. We use family pieces passed down from previous generations and refurbish or completely redesign. In this way we preserve the memory of their loved ones while transforming the piece into jewelry styles for customers lifestyle today. In the market today using recycled gold and stones etc., to make jewelry piece, is extremely important to some of today’s customers but this feature has always been part of designing and manufacturing at Coffins..
