From Prong to Bezel

We have a selection of rings in store that you’re welcome to come by and see in person. And if there’s anything you’d like to change, we can absolutely work with you on the details.

This ring is a great example. The customer fell in love with a design we had, but wanted a bezel setting instead of a prong setting. So that’s exactly what we made for them.

Opals are beautiful but delicate

Gemstone Tuesday: Jade

This week we’re spotlighting Jade, the stone of harmony and good fortune. There are actually two types: jadeite and nephrite. On the Mohs scale jadeite sits around 6.5 to 7 and nephrite around 6 to 6.5, so it’s tougher than it looks and great for everyday wear.

Beyond its beauty, Jade has long been a symbol of prosperity, balance, and protection, believed to calm the mind and invite good luck.

Price wise it covers a huge range. Nephrite and dyed pieces can be very affordable, while top grade natural Imperial jadeite is one of the most valuable gemstones in the world.
