Celtic Collection - Iluminated "O" Stud Buttons with Dogs in a Knot

If you are finding a shawl difficult to wear, try this move first. It's a simple bit of choreography that is really transformative visually and almost always my first effort when styling recalcitrant accessories.
In this video, I demonstrate a quick styling solution for a range of shawl shapes -- drape the shape over your shoulders so it hangs down in front with the two ends slightly different in length for interest. Using two to four stud button closures, affix the center for a length of about five inches, starting at the hollow in the neck. Once you have put the stud buttons in place, rotate your shawl a quarter turn so you have the closures at the front of the shoulder, which changes the look of your piece completely, creates a romantic drape at the neckline, gives you full range of motion in both arms, and now you have a nice diagonal drape across the torso that is interesting, flattering,

Celtic Collection - Iluminated "A" Stud Brooch with a Dog and a Bird

As you can see, these lovely stud buttons depicting a rabbit and a dog knotted up to form an ampersand, are gorgeous on the Terraced Hill shawl pattern.

Part 2 - JUL Stud button sets are most frequently available in teams of three collaborating components that work together spatially and visually to manage the behaviour of hand-knitted and crocheted garments and accessories because, often, one component is not enough to free us from the stress of failing accessory and garment stylings that don't have enough points of control.
In this video, I resolve my intentionally disheveled-looking but failing scarf styling by adding two smaller stud buttons, that are aesthetically harmonious. By adding these Celtic Illuminated "O" buttons (available for pre-order in satin snd glossy), I can be free of knitwear stress and more ready to face all other current forms of stress!
These stud buttons are the culmination of JUL Designs' 2 decades of work to develop the best, most effective, styling tools on the market for managing the behaviour of handknits and crochet.

Part 1 - I have been reflecting on the utility of what I do and make for you in a time of crisis and turbulence, questioning why anyone should buy from me during a period of such uncertainty. And as I have been considering this, I thought about the fact that knitters, crocheters, and sewists are going to make no matter what. That's what we do, even if there is apocalypse! We make things: we mend things.
And if you want to wear what you make, you do need what I do. You do need styling tools that enable you to wear what you make in ways that are secure, comfortable, beautiful, and creative.
In this video I demonstrate styling the Mesa Collared Shawl as a scarf with a big beautiful Celtic Illuminated "A" Stud Brooch (available now for pre-order in satin snd glossy finishes), a styling that fails at the end of the video.
