Happy 20th Anniversary Telfair Museums Friends of African American Arts! Thursday we had a wonderful spring meeting and reception hearing from past board chairs, watching a documentary film on Dr. Walter and Linda Evans (founders of FAAA) created by Maria Espinosa, thanking the board members and electing a new board. I am honored and excited to be the new Telfair Museums' Friends Of African American Arts board chair. We have some traditions to keep, new ideas to put in place and partnerships to connect! Our out going board members left some big shoes to fill: Kim Dubois chair, Joshua Alexander vp/treasurer, NaeKieasha Jones vp, Brian Woods, and me. Our new board Dr Annissa Roland chair, DeAndre West vp/tres., Aja Boone vp, Maria Espinosa membership, Dr Angela Mathis sec. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Thank you to our past board chairs: Dr. Peggy Blood, Gwen Starks, Phil Starks, Calvin Woodum , and Kim Dubois for all of your work and promised support.
