Today is International Women in Engineering Day, a day that celebrates women who work with their hands, build things, and create with precision and skill.

I'm not an engineer, but I get it. There's something deeply satisfying about taking raw materials and turning them into something that didn't exist before. Making jewelry isn't so different from that.

Fun fact...June actually has THREE birthstones: pearl, moonstone, and alexandrite. June babies really said why choose one.

I work with both pearl and rainbow moonstone but they couldn't be more different. Pearls have this classic, quiet elegance, they've been worn for thousands of years for a reason. Moonstone is a whole other thing. That blue shimmer it gives off depending on the light? There's nothing else quite like it. Both are in the collection if you want to see what I mean. Shoutout to all the June birthdays coming up!

🐝 Happy World Bee Day! 🐝

Bees and jewelry have more in common than you'd think. Both are about the details...the tiny things that most people walk right past without noticing. A bee does this whole incredible thing and it's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Same with a really well made piece of jewelry. The little choices, the way a stone sits, the finish on the metal, the weight of it in your hand, that's where the good stuff is.

Shoutout to the bees today. Small but mighty, doing the most!

Okay let's talk clusters because I get asked about this a lot.

A cluster station is basically a little grouping of beads or stones gathered together at one point on a piece )usually on a bracelet or necklace). Instead of beads being evenly spaced out along the whole piece, a cluster station creates this intentional moment of texture and visual interest in one spot.
Think of it like a little focal point. It adds dimension without being too much. It's one of my favorite design moves honestly, simple concept but it can completely change the feel of a piece!

May babies got a good one! Emerald is the official birthstone for May and honestly it's hard to argue with that. Deep, rich, full of history. Cleopatra was obsessed with it. Can't blame her.

I don't have any emerald pieces ready to go right now, but if you're drawn to that lush green energy, peridot gives me a similar feeling. It's got this bright, electric green that just feels alive, very much a May vibe if you ask me. Spring in stone form. Shoutout to all the May birthdays out there 💚🌿

Spring is really doing its thing right now and honestly it's got me thinking about how much nature influences the work I make. The colors, the textures...a lot of the stones I work with feel like they came straight from the earth and barely needed any help looking beautiful. That's kind of the whole point. I'm just finding them a home.

🌍 Happy Earth Day!

There's something that feels really right about working with materials that come straight from the earth - metal, stone, things that were just sitting in the ground waiting to become something.
