A kurious life Seattle potter making housewares & specializing in carved porcelain luminaries. Catch us at a pop-up!

a kurious life was founded in 2018 by BIPOC entrepreneur, Alice Kay Lee. Social awareness and sustainability are core principles we value as a company. We recognize that there is a lot of work to be done to make our world a safer, cleaner, more equitable place for all. Donating resources to communities in need and using only recyclable/reusable packaging are the small first steps we are taking. We are excited to integrate more practices that move us in that direction as our company grows.

Trimming can be quite meditative and satisfying. A well formed foot doesn’t just finish a piece, it keeps the bottoms from being too heavy thus preventing S-cracks, and lifts the piece so you can glaze the entire vertical wall.
