Finished another pair of long (3.5 inches!) turquoise and garnet earrings.
I have two things to say about these.
1.) There are 11 chains on each earring. Let me tell you how simple life is when you have a Sunstone Orion 100c welder to close 22 jump rings. No solder, no flux, no scale, no pickle, no tweezers or third hands, and no worries over melting delicate silver. Hands down best investment ever! Welding makes impossibly difficult pain-in-the-ass jobs easy, such as tacking on loops and bails without melting bezels and/or having the solder flow where it shouldn’t. Don’t walk— run and get yourself one! Thank you !!!!
2.) I bought 12 feet of the exact chain on those earrings last year for $4.95 a foot. Today the same chain costs $20 a foot. That is an in increase of 4X. I just placed a $1000 from Rio for Sterling sheet and wire that would’ve cost me $250 for the same amount a year ago. Your favorite smiths are struggling and inevitably have to raise our prices. 2025 prices are gone, so please keep that in mind when purchasing and consider each creation a savvy investment. 🫶🏻
