I was a personal trainer turned mom and now a creator of this wonderful shark tooth jewelry. My second son absolutely loves sharks and had heard you could find fossilized shark teeth in Maryland. In the spring of 2020 I took my oldest 3 children shark tooth hunting for the first time and that was it. I was hooked and I thought about it all the time! I don't know if it was the peace, or the cathart

isism or the beauty or the quiet of it all, but it was such a profound event in my human experience and I was hooked. I remember looking over all of the teeth we found the first day in awe that they were just right there on the beach! After millions of years I had the opportunity to pick them up and hold them in my hand and I actually still can't believe it sometimes. Every time I would leave the beach I would think "I would really like to ear this in some kind of jewelry". I had seen shark teeth strung up on wire for a necklace when I was a kid at Ocean City but I wanted to do something a litte more elegant. I turned over the idea for years and years until one day my brain literally exploded with the idea of encapsulating the teeth into a stone and trying to set it in a ring. I started doing some research which turned into practical application and here we are today. I still find all of the teeth I set (although I have set fossilized teeth for others from their own personal collections) and it is my favorite thing to do. I am constantly amazed at the beauty and unique individuality of each tooth I come across. I am still in amazement at how something can survive for a millennia and land on my finger and I love the most that I can share it with the world.
