We are honored to sponsor the adoption fees of black 🐈‍⬛ cats this month. Let’s make it a “black out” and empty the cages of all black cats. Come see the additional available kittens tomorrow at our store during Shawano Downtown Witches’ Night Out.

🎃🐈‍⬛October is here, and so are the superstitions surrounding black cats! But did you know that many of the scary stories you've heard about black cats and Halloween are actually myths?

For years, people have believed that black cats are at greater risk of being harmed or used in rituals around Halloween. However, animal welfare organizations and fact-checkers have found no credible evidence of widespread, organized ritual sacrifices of black cats during Halloween.

🐾 Let's set the record straight!

🖤 Black cats are NOT bad luck!

🖤 There is no evidence that adopting a black cat in October puts them at greater risk of harm.

🖤 Black cats deserve the same chance at finding loving homes as every other cat, no matter what month it is!

🖤 Responsible adoption screening is what helps keep animals safe, not withholding adoptions because of outdated superstitions.

This is why we’re celebrating our black cats with special sponsored adoptions! Thanks to a generous sponsor, Martin Jewellers, we're giving these beautiful cats an extra opportunity to find their forever families!

Black cats are often overlooked simply because of their color, but they have just as much love, personality, and companionship to offer as any other cat.

🐈‍⬛ Let's change the narrative this Halloween!Instead of spreading fear and superstition, let's spread awareness, kindness, and LOVE for black cats!

Come visit us at Shawano County Humane Society and meet our wonderful adoptable cats!

🐾 Sponsored adoption fees do not change our normal adoption screening and approval process.

Special Event: Friday, October 9th, Witches Night Out- Martin Jewelers will have six of our beautiful black kittens at their storefront ready for adoption. Please call Shawano County Humane Society with any questions about this event.

The vintage mounting was beautiful but the center diamond had been removed. A pink sapphire provides a subtle update without being too bold. Is it perfect or would you prefer a different color?

We love 💗 keeping it local and investing in ways that support youth programs. Thanks for the beautiful pumpkins 🎃 and “pointing out” our fall decor.

👀 We found some familiar looking pumpkin stacks when we were downtown today!

Thanks for shopping local, Martin Jewellers.

Ryan and Abbey have set the date and the countdown has begun! We are so grateful that we were able to play a small part in this joy by creating a beautiful ring for Abbey.

We have been a part of creating memories for 66 years. As we celebrate our anniversary in October we are thankful for the customers that choose us for the big moments and the small moments. Jewelry is linked to to the precious memories we make. Martin Jewellers is honored to be a part of that process.
