We picked up the gun life, not because of fear of an apocolypes, or for protection of our lives. We started shooting because it was fun! But it was more like we were pulling the trigger in 2008. Our new love for firearms was contagious. We had opened Pandora's Box that has lead us here. Since 2008 both Leslie and I have learned that for us the best part about shooting is the education piece. We've
learned that without the education piece, there is no discipline, no philosophy, no structure, or procedure. Without formal training all we are doing is really pulling the trigger. We realized that there are many families out there that have been shooting their whole lives, and have some really deep training scars. And we also realized that that there are a lot of men and women that are seeking firearms training at either a basic or fundamental level but arn't ready to learn in large group classes. We wanted to bring firearm education to small groups or in private lessons. What we learned is that there are many people out there like us that believe that shooting is a special skill set that doesn't start with pulling the trigger, but rather starts in a classroom environment. Formal training is more of an after thought for many gun owners, and it should be the opposite. With all of resources we have as Americans, we should be looking to those people that specialize in this to help us be better at what we love to do. What we wanted to bring to the gun culture is one on one firearms education and training. We want to offer only small group education and private lessons to remove the awkwardness of not knowing the right questions. "If you don't know, you don't know." is something what we say quite often to new students... We were all there once, and if you are reading this, then maybe it's your first step to moving forward. Our classes are based off other classes that we have taken over the years. We didn't reinvent the wheel, we just pumped fresh air into it. We are avid students just as much as passionate educators. What we learn is what we practice, and apply everything to practical use. We know where our strengths lay, and that is in teaching and mentoring. We know that we need continued education to keep ahead of of our student. We love to train....probable just as much as we love to teach. When you here us say, "live your life on the line and never stop learning." Know that we've been saying that to ourselves before we started saying that to you....that is our mantra. Our students will eventually out grow us. We actually hope that they do.... Ultimately it means that we did our job. We know we can only take you so far in this journey, and that it's your responsibility to help yourself get further then where you are at today. This might be your first step into Pew Pew Life, but we know it won't be your last. Please feel free to call or email us with any questions about scheduling a class. We hope we see you all in class soon. "Through process and practice we will build confidence to carry daily. Master the basics; Life on the line."
