Why is it called “Muddy Boot?” I get asked that a lot. Good question … why in the world would I choose to name my jewelry business after a muddy ol’ boot - something that is anything but glamorous? Well, as many of my fellow Louisianians know, Louisiana is often referred to as “The Boot,” an endearing reference to its shape. And, well, since my jewelry is made with mud from Louisiana river soil, the word “muddy” seemed only appropriate to use. So there you have it - Muddy Boot Jewelry, Artisan jewelry made from the soil/mud of Louisiana rivers!

Muddy Boot Jewelry is artisan jewelry made from the soil of Louisiana rivers, such as the Mississippi River and the Red River. I have formulated the perfect combination of soil and moldable binders to create these gorgeous pieces of wearable art. I chose river soil as my medium because the river is symbolic of life, the passage of time, and the power of nature. It is a reminder to live life to the fullest and to respect every place you visit. Since I love to travel, I wanted to take a piece of my favorite places with me everywhere I go. Louisiana (my home), is one of these places for me. By creating my Muddy Boot Jewelry collection, I was able to find a unique way to wear a beautiful symbol of life and take a little piece of Louisiana with me everywhere I go!
