We are a kid-friendly, non-profit organization group for anyone interested in earth sciences education, lapidary arts and polishing, jewelry-making through wire-wrapping and silversmithing, and specimen collecting on field trips to explore local geology.

A Halloween Party at next Club Meeting - Oct 27

Bill Kinney will present a program on Cursed Gems that brought bad stuff to owners. He has bags to hand out with a spooky surprise.

Those attending will be encouraged to wear costumes with a prize for the best costume. Please limit costumes to non-gory stuff. Special attention will be paid to costumes that fit our hobby. Examples: a Princess with a diamond tiara, one of the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White, a Dinosaur, a Rockhound, a Rock, a Fossil, a Gypsy decked in jewelry, a Miner Forty Niner, Ben Grimm the Thing superhero: you get the idea. Use your imagination.

If you create jewelry bring some to show.

Candy is available for Trick- R- Treaters. Lots of Family FUN! Bring the kids. All are welcome!

You are invited to our June Meeting on Tuesday, June 23 at 7 pm. Bill Reynolds will talk about fossils of Northwest Arkansas and a bonus of favorite Dinosaurs that kids love. Bring the children to help build the club. Lots of fun and laughs for all ages. After all rockhounds are kids at heart.
