I think this "covid" time is a good time to take out your rosary and say it daily. I think we have been slowed up by the virus and now have more time in which to say the rosary. I look on this idea as a way to visit with the Lord!

These last two weeks in September sure have been hectic for me. I am getting back to praying my chaplets. I believe Patrece and I are on the sixth day for the Divine Mercy and hope to continue praying chaplets and novenas, as well. Yesterday, I was at Mass and received the Eucharist. I had to walk past the Divine Mercy display and the words "I trust in you" give me a good feeling. I cannot explain it; since we have been praying, those words seem to bring me closer to Jesus.

Patrece and I have been learning more about the mysteries of the rosary. She is my teacher and I am her student. As we dive into more knowledge on each one, I get the desire to want to learn more. We are currently doing the Divine Mercy prayers. Each week that goes by, we switch up on which novenas, we say. This week is the Divine Mercy.

Well, we finished the novena of the Seven Sorrows of Mary and are into our sixth day of the Divine Mercy novena. Also, we have included the novena of the Little Infant of Prague. I am finding that I enjoy saying the Divine Mercy more and more each time I say it! On Sundays, we also include the St. Michael chaplet.
I feel by saying these novenas and chaplets, it brings me closer to Jesus and Mary. The "I trust in you" phrase(from Divine Mercy) helps me make a better commitment to my faith!

We are into, I think, our seventh day saying the seven sorrows of Mary. I guess, being a guy, I haven't seen the devastating effect these sorrows have on Mary, Jesus mother. It must be a real hardship to watch your son be beaten, then having to carry a cross, and have more pain inflicted on him by being crucified.

Yesterday, we said the St. Michael chaplet and started the seven sorrows of Mary novena. The first sorrow, the prophesy of St Simeon, kind of set the stage for what was to come in Mary's eyes, about her sons future life. That must have been devastating for her know that Jesus was going to go through all this suffering.!

We finished the two novenas (Divine Mercy and the Little Infant, Jesus, of Prague) a couple of days ago. It sees with the busiest of our personal lives, I needed to get a break from trying to coordinate time to say our prayers, but tomorrow being a new day, I am going start back up!

Today, I believe, is our seventh day to say the Divine Mercy and the Little Infant of Prague novenas. I have found that if I rifle through them, I do not get much out of it. So, to remedy that, I have slowed down and said each prayer slowly. It seems by doing that I re-learn the prayers and it allows me time mediate on the novena.

Recently, we finished the Blessed Virgin Mary's seven sorrows novena. After finishing it, I look back and reflect on each "sorrow." It must have been an incredible time to actually see Jesus and Mary go through his passion to eradicate our sins. Each time I say the sorrowful mysteries while saying the rosary it brings sad feelings of what Jesus and Mary, his mother, went through.
