California is an incredibly special place. We are home to several national parks and so many natural wonders; including the Giant Sequoia Tree. Surrounding yourself with these amazing giants is one of the best feelings in the world and they need our help to stay protected from the industries trying to remove protections from our public lands for their own profit.
I created this sterling silver treasure box necklace completely by hand to depict this amazing natural wonder that we are so fortunate to still be able to protect. On the inside of this necklace i created two Giant Sequoia Trees with an onlooking deer, peering over its shoulder towards the dense forest.
I adorned the door of this treasure box necklace with a very special and unique cab. I collected several lupine flowers in my homegrown garden in Ventura County, CA and placed them within the pages of a great book, Nature’s Best Hope written by Dr. Douglas Tallamy, which outlines the importance of native plants, both in nature and in our own yards. I pressed the flowers until they were dried and perfect. I then collected several agates along the Malibu coast, brought them home, and cut them into slices. I used lapidary grade epoxy to sandwich the flowers between the agates and let them cure. I then cabbed each of these into different shapes; ready to become gorgeous jewelry representations of the beauty of California.
Every single part of this interactive piece is completely handmade by myself; nothing is cast and everything is 100% one of a kind

While walking along the shore of Malibu, California, I found this absolutely gorgeous and rare agate containing perfect marcasite plumes and carnelian bursts. I took it home, cut it, and cabbed a piece of it into a long oval to create this stand out statement ring. I made several waves to create this ring band inspired by the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean

Please help save the Roadless Rule!!
Public comment period ends 9/21
In your comment be sure to say why our natural areas matter to you! Areas that remain roadless are less prone to human caused wildfires, have greater biodiversity, more native species, less invasive species, are sources of clean water, and are vital to the wellbeing of our natural planet. The beauty of California can shine in so many ways; that’s what makes this place so incredibly special. I feel that in this new line, I have created pieces that truly let the personality of California shine in a unique way.

I collected several lupine flowers while hiking in the hills of Ventura County and placed them within the pages of a great book, Nature’s Best Hope written by Dr. Douglas Tallamy, which outlines the importance of native plants.

Another important species that, thankfully, I’ve been seeing more often recently is the Acmon Blue Butterfly. The catepillar of the Acmon Blue feeds on Lupine leaves making them a perfect pair. I created an Acmon Blue Butterfly out of sterling silver to adorn the gorgeous pendants and make them a truly unique California piece that any nature lover would be proud and excited to wear.

Every single part of these pieces was hand created by myself in the beautiful state of California.

I collected several California Poppy Petals from my native plant garden (NOT from nature!!) and placed them within the pages of a great book, Nature’s Best Hope, written by Dr. Douglas Tallamy, which outlines the importance of native plants.  I pressed the flower petals until they were dried and perfect.  I then collected several agates along the Malibu coast, brought them home, and cut them into slices.  I used lapidary grade epoxy to sandwich the petals between the agates and let them cure.  I then cabbed each of these into different shapes; ready to become gorgeous jewelry representations of the beauty of California.
I then hand sawed California Poppy leaves out of sterling silver and hand engraved them to create the ring band for the ring and the background for the necklace.  I felt like this addition made these such special and unique representations of California.
Every single part of these pieces was hand created by myself in the beautiful state of California.
