The superb V38 with triple guilloche dial and applied WG Breguet numerals. Cased in a SS 38mm classic case, this gem of a watch will hold up over many years and be recognized for what it is. Classic designs endure! The caliber is a Vaucher base with tungsten micro-rotor.

Paul Ge**er, no intro needed really at this point in time. Paul has been plugging away for 40+ years and has been instrumental behind the scenes for some of the most amazing watches for big brands. Preferring to not grab the limelight as many of his colleagues in the Swiss watch world, his own production of watches has been comparatively tiny. A handful emanating from his atelier in Zurich annually. This is from the final series of Ref 42’s. Our small allocation is long spoken for I’m afraid, however I like to share his lovely work. Titanium 42mm case with lovely blue lacquer hands and numerals. A guilloche dial, one gets a lot of watch from Paul.

The brilliant Grand Erwin travel companion joined me in England, Sweden & Portugal. Various clock towers in the towns and villages I visited. Time hasn’t always been on our wrist or in our pockets (mobile phone users) Church & State were historically responsible for letting know the public know when to pray and go to work!

This is a watch! For me, there’s not much to change if at all. The blue enamel guilloche dial is killer and the Vingt-8 caliber with Kari’s ex*****on of the natural escapement is superlative. Happy I got to see this back June during my visit to Fleurier.

The term “iconic” is bandied about by many folks in the watch world.
Here’s my submission for iconic! Pretty sure it holds up to scrutiny 🧐
This was one of the seminal pieces I came across prior to my dive into the independent watchmaking world in 2003. Seeing it in a magazine, and then walking by the stand at Baselworld ‘01 the following year, where Vianney was exhibiting with a RG version, stopped me in my tracks. while the Resonance Triple Axis Tourbillon is out of this world, I submit this is the iconic VH model.
There aren’t many and they are certainly not for everyone, but for me, money no object, this is it!
