Rutilated quartz in hand, gold wire threaded straight through, and a new piece starts to take shape. ✨

The 14k gold wire gets pulled through this quartz, then twisted together. All those golden rutile threads caught inside the stone, like sunlight frozen mid-fall. Where the wire meets, it’s fused into a ball that becomes its own quiet detail. Finished with a clasp of more gold wire and faceted zircon, small sparks of color at the close.

This is the part nobody sees when the necklace is finished and on. Just wire, heat, and a stone doing something no two stones do the same way twice.

One side is hand-painted enamel, soft white petals traced in gold, crowning an engraved blue sapphire. Flip it over and the whole story changes: polki diamonds catch the light across the crown and the sapphire, glowing like they’ve been here for centuries.
