Ohana Roots Traditional Craft and Wilderness Camp

Ohana Roots Traditional Craft and Wilderness Camp “Ohana speaks to the concept of a larger family that is not necessarily connected by blood. An ohana is special.

A person’s ohana can include their best friends, neighbors, or anyone else who is special in their life. The people within it are bound together by genuine compassion, culture, support, loyalty, and love for each other.”

We are working towards creating an Ohana, a place where people can come to learn new skills while immersed in nature! Check out our seedling offerings, our weekly farm stand updates, and class/ workshop schedule at www.OhanaRootsMaine.com

One thing I love most about living off grid is innovating weird ways to get jobs done. Everyday posses a new problem then we put our heads together to come up with a solution. Most of the time, we have to think way out of the box, so far out of the box that we through the box away😂 we actually joked about making a show called “ Eh, we’ll figure it out” This is our new “boom” crane at the metal shop to lift heavy things! Made from a repurposed boom from a sailboat.

All the wood for the trusses just showed up!!! A very good friend of ours asked us to build some jigs in trade for the lumber! One giant step closer to completing the Art Center by winter!! Of course I got emotional. Every step of this journey is so fulfilling. We are working sooo hard, but then things like this happen that make it so much easier and attainable! Now off to build the roof!
