Subject: Support HB 2115 and SB 5894 — Reinstate the Precious Metals Exemption

Dear Senator/Representative,

My name is [Your Name], and I am a constituent from [City], Washington.

I am writing to urge you to support HB 2115 and SB 5894 to reinstate Washington’s precious metals sales-tax exemption.

Since the exemption was repealed, Washington has already seen real consequences. Major coin shows have been cancelled or moved out of state. Customers are shifting purchases to Oregon and Idaho. Local small businesses are losing revenue.

Precious metals are investment assets, not consumer goods. Taxing them places Washington at a severe competitive disadvantage compared to most other states.

Please support these bills and restore fairness and competitiveness for Washington businesses and investors.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

WE APPRECIATE ALL OUR CUSTOMERS AND REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT IN MAKING SURE THESE 2 BILLS GO THROUGH TO HELP ALL OF THE SMALL BUSINESS AND PRECIOUS METALS/ COIN COLLECTORS IN THIS STATE.
