We don’t often come across non-American military memorabilia, especially pieces associated with women’s military service! Check out this fascinating collection of vintage military badges and insignia, including pieces from Queen Mary’s Army Auxiliary Corps dating to around 1918, the Women’s Royal Australian Army Corps (WRAAC), a British Royal Navy nursing officer’s cap badge, a Service Nursing Sister tippet rank badge, and a British Royal Air Force (RAF) officer’s service dress peaked cap badge. From beautiful gold embroidery to beautifully detailed metal insignia, these pieces offer a fascinating glimpse into military history and the important roles women played in it. We love finding unique pieces like these, each with its own story to tell! Would love to have met these accomplish women (woman?!)
