I didn't realize it then, but now quite some time later, I realize WHY I am a handcrafted jewelry designer. Hi, my name is Kimberley Jade and yes, that is my real name. I was named after the Kimberley Diamond Mines in South Africa and the mineral Jade. My parents choose that name at my birth and I feel like I was predestined for such a time as this. You see, my childhood was spent tagging along while my parents mineral collected in quarries and mines and if we weren't doing that, we were exploring caves and attending gem and mineral shows. Since I was old enough to walk I believed that those pretty colored stones that I picked off the ground were and are truly Treasures From Heaven.
