Once upon a time, nestled in the heart of a charming town in the Poconos, there was a quaint boutique known as ‘Three Red Feathers’. The boutique has a magical aura about it, drawing locals and visitors alike with its enchanting displays and welcoming atmosphere. The ‘Three Red Feathers’ name held a special significance to the owner and their family. In Mohawk tradition, feathers hold great signif

icance, symbolizing spiritual protection, connection to the heavens, and messages from ancestors. The name of the boutique can be traced back to a poignant moment when Rebecca’s mom discovered three vibrant red feathers in her bedroom after the passing of her beloved husband, Jesse. In the midst of her grief, she asked him to give her a sign that he hears her when she speaks to him and is still around watching over her. A few days later, she came across the sight of those 3 feathers on the floor of her bedroom. She believed that the three red feathers were a powerful message from her husband, speaking "I love you" from the spirit world beyond. When Jesse was alive, he always gave her 3 red roses on special occasions (each rose was a word: I Love You - 3 words - 3 flowers - 3 feathers) and it is believed this was his way of showing her he still watches over her from the heavens and loves her beyond the physical world. As the story of the Three Red Feathers is spreading, the boutique is becoming known not only for its curated selection of unique gifts, renovated items, along with vintage and Native American jewelry, but also for the warmth and love that seemed to embrace everyone who walked through its doors. Visitors often feel a deep sense of connection to their roots while browsing the shelves of Three Red Feathers, as if the spirit of their ancestors lingered within the shop, watching over them with love and guidance. As the legacy of ‘Three Red Feathers’ continues to grow, weaving together the threads of Native culture, love, and hope, it stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Native people and the belief that ancestral messages of love are always present, waiting to be discovered in the whispers of three simple red feathers.
