We’re back, and now you know where we disappeared to. 🦞🍂
Last New Year’s, when all of our kids were together at the house, we started talking about my 60th birthday and what I wanted to do.
I told everyone the thing that mattered most to me was simply being together as a family.
Of course, they all decided 60 needed to be a little more special than just hanging out at home, so I said, “Well, my favorite food is Maine lobster, and I’ve never been to Maine.”
That was all it took.
For my 60th birthday, we went to Maine to eat Maine lobster.
And it was everything I could have imagined and more.
Beautiful fall colors, chilly weather, hiking, sitting by the fireplace, board games, puzzles, lots of laughs, way too much food and just slowing down and enjoying time together.
My daughter and Allen even planned a special birthday dinner with Lobster Queen decorations and napkins made with Est. 1966 on them. They thought about all of it ahead of time, which made it even more special.
I came home with a full heart, a lot of pictures and some really good memories.
Now we’re back at the shop and ready to see everyone again. ❤️
