I’m working hard to get ready the store heavily stocked and for my next art show in July and then we will be in peak summer.

This Friday we have the Suttons Bay Art & Wine walk from 5-8PM and my husband is debuting our new business (char-cart-erie) a mobile charcuterie cart. It’s pick your own path charcuterie, basically a fancy, adult lunchable and it’s the cutest, coolest thing! He’ll be popped up at events throughout the summer and open to private parties and wedding cocktail hours.

Honestly I live summer weather like this, a light little rain storm to cool it all down, water the plants and a slow warm up to a sunny day, not too hot.

Quite actually a perfect shopping day because you won’t be missing a phenomenal beach day.

Today I’m teaching a silversmithing workshop, Lauren is in the store and it’s the first weekend out of school for us here. Shop is open 10-6PM today and we’re 7 days a week!

An idea, fire, force, hand manipulation, stamping, sawing, sanding, polishing.

It’s a lot of time, creative energy and muscle to make all these one of a kind Michigan statement pieces.

We hand hunt all the stones, cut and grind them and design them and sell them in our store. The whole process, start to finish….pretty epic.

It’s the last day of school, summer break begins after an 11:30AM half day.

I’ve got two weeks until summer camp begins and until then I’m on kid duty. Trying to create jewelry at nap time or random moments of peace is going to be next to impossible. So lots of night time silversmithing for me, my least favorite.
•
•
I worked all winter to be ready for summer and every year I underestimate how much I need to make and find myself ferociously trying to catch up all summer.
•
•
Come see us we’re open 7 days a week, and 10-6 PM!
(Also pray for me to survive the next two weeks until summer camp starts)
