What a beautiful and successful evening Metamorphosis 2 turned out to be!
First, I want to thank my incredible models Cecil Holston II, Gwendolyn Pettaway, Jasmine Hicks, ShaNyia Lightner, Isaiah Hiel and Lynnishia. You brought my vision to life with confidence, grace, and style. Everyone of you looked absolutely amazing, and I am so grateful that you trusted me and represented my work so beautifully.
A special thank-you to Micah Lee for bearing with me throughout this process, extending grace, and allowing me to have a personal assistant help me while I worked through excruciating pain.
To my children, my person, my best one, Brandye Marquita who drove all the way from Cleveland to assist me in every way so all I had to do was rest and watch everything come together. I adore you like no other. To everyone who supported me, assisted me, checked on me, stood in the gap for me and helped me make it through- Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly could not have done this without you all.
I don’t look like what I’m going through.
These days, nothing comes easily as I continue navigating life with a broken back. But even through the pain, I remained committed to seeing this vision through.
And Toledo, you showed up and showed OUT! The love, energy, and support in the space was everything. Everyone looked incredible, and you helped make Metamorphosis 2 an unforgettable evening.
Now on to this surgery tomorrow morning so I can get back to some sense of normalcy!
