Ask ten people in the jewelry industry how they got started, and you'll probably hear ten different stories.

Randy's journey wasn't a straight line. As a young student, he wasn't particularly interested in following the crowd. While many of his friends were signing up for biology, a geology class caught his attention. He took it for fun - and got hooked.

That curiosity about rocks and minerals eventually led to gemstones, gemology, appraisals and a lifelong career.
