See that green garlic? That’s nature doing its thing!

As our Bougie Fire C***r steeps in raw apple c***r vinegar, naturally occurring compounds in the garlic react with the acidity, sometimes turning the cloves a beautiful blue/green color.

This is a completely natural reaction and one of the fascinating transformations that happens during the steeping process!

Our handcrafted Bougie Fire C***r is packed with 22 fresh ingredients including ginger, turmeric, garlic, onions, jalapeños, citrus, herbs, and so much more! And we only use organic ingredients…that’s extremely important to us.

These ingredients contain naturally occurring antioxidants and beneficial plant compounds that help support overall wellness, including immune health and healthy, beautiful skin.

We choose glass for our Bougie Fire C***r from the very beginning of the infusion process all the way to the finished bottle.

Here's why…

Glass is nonreactive. Apple c***r vinegar is naturally acidic, and glass won't react with that acidity or alter the flavor of our carefully selected ingredients.

No concerns about plastic leaching. Using glass avoids potential interactions between acidic vinegar and certain plastics, especially during our extended steeping process.

Preserves the natural flavor. Glass doesn't absorb odors or flavors, allowing the ginger, turmeric, garlic, citrus, herbs, and spices to develop their distinctive flavors without interference.

Y’all…thank you. Truly.

We’ve been infusing our own honey for years, but sharing it with all of you is something completely different. I was so excited (and maybe a little nervous 😂) to finally bring our Fire Honey out for everyone to try.

And the response absolutely warmed my heart.

Every single person who sampled it loved it. We brought 12 jars with us, sold every one, and even had people place orders once they were gone. I don’t say that to brag…I say it because moments like that mean so much to us.

So much thought and love goes into the things we make. Chris and I spend a ridiculous amount of time talking about ingredients, flavors, recipes, what we could do differently, and what we want something to become before we ever put it on our table.

Knowing that you enjoy what we create makes all of that worth it.

And apparently we’ve been on a little honey kick lately because we currently have a few more varieties infusing that I cannot WAIT to share with y’all.

We already have Bougie Fire C***r infusing…but after the demand for more, we’re starting ANOTHER 8 gallons today! 😂

And after seeing just how quickly our first batch disappeared, we decided to dip into our own personal reserve for our upcoming market.

We have ONLY 8 bottles — 8 oz each. Once those are gone, that’s it, folks! There won’t be any more ready for at least another 3 weeks while the next batches finish infusing.

WE SOLD OUT!! 🥹🙌

But before we say anything else, we just have to say THANK YOU.

The love you guys showed Being Me Apothecary today was absolutely incredible. Whether you purchased something, stopped to smell all the things, tried a sample, asked questions, brought a friend over to our booth, or simply stopped by to say hello…we appreciate you more than you know. ❤️

And can we talk about the FIRE C***R?! 😂

Watching people taste it for the first time was probably one of our favorite parts of the entire day.

We heard over and over again:

“I’ve had Fire C***r before, but NOTHING like this.”

People came back for second samples. We had several people buy bottles specifically to use for salad dressing—which is AMAZING, by the way—and one wonderful lady asked for another sample so she could put it on her FRIES. 😂🙌

THAT is exactly what we hoped for when we created our Bougie Fire C***r.

We didn’t want to make something that people simply tolerated because of the traditional ingredients in Fire C***r. We wanted something you would actually look forward to tasting.

It’s bold, sweet, tangy, spicy and full of layers of citrus, herbs, roots and spices, with beautiful local Walker Honey Farm honey rounding everything out. 🍯

And judging by the empty Fire C***r table at the end of today…you guys understood the assignment. 😂

Seriously, THANK YOU for such an amazing day. Supporting a small business means supporting real people who go home afterward talking about every sweet comment, every funny interaction and every person who came back to tell us how much they loved something we made.

Today was one of those days that reminds us exactly why we love doing this.

MEET BOUGIE FIRE C***R — TWO WAYS!

We started with the traditional Fire C***r people have been making for generations and gave it the Being Me Apothecary treatment.

Every root, herb, fruit, and spice was chosen first and foremost for what it brings to the blend—then we brought everything together with flavor and tradition in mind. The result is a bold, complex Fire C***r packed with plant goodness that also happens to actually taste good.

So...WHY Fire C***r?

People have been making Fire C***r and similar vinegar-based herbal tonics for generations as part of their everyday wellness routines, especially during colder months and seasonal changes.

When I created ours, I wanted ingredients traditionally used for digestive support, seasonal and respiratory wellness, antioxidant support, a healthy inflammatory response, and overall everyday wellness.

And y'all know how obsessed I am with caring for my skin, so of course I had to sneak some skin-loving goodness into my Fire C***r too.

If I was going to make Fire C***r, I wanted every ingredient to earn its place in that bottle.

And THEN I tackled the other thing that mattered to me...

Making the darn thing taste good. Because wellness or not, I'm not drinking something every day if it's horrible. And that is how Bougie Fire C***r happened.

READY-TO-ENJOY BOUGIE FIRE C***R — $22

Over 8 oz per bottle

We do all the work for you. Fresh ingredients are slowly infused in raw apple c***r vinegar with the Mother, strained, and then finished with local Walker Honey Farm honey.

Our blend includes ginger, turmeric, garlic, red and white onion, orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, jalapeño, lemongrass, rose hips, horseradish root, rosemary, thyme, hibiscus, cinnamon, black peppercorns, cloves, and star anise.

These ready-to-enjoy bottles are LIMITED. We've already started another delicious batch, but traditional Fire C***r can't be rushed. Our newest batch has about six weeks of infusing ahead of it before we can strain it, add our local honey, and bottle up all that beautiful amber-colored goodness.

MAKE-YOUR-OWN BOUGIE FIRE C***R KIT — $25
This one is for my fellow herb people.

Each pouch contains 19 dried botanicals and makes up to 32 oz—or up to FOUR 8 oz bottles.

Ginger • Orange • Lemon • Lime • Grapefruit • White Onion • Horseradish Root • Garlic • Turmeric • Jalapeño • Rose Hips • Echinacea Root • Rosemary • Hibiscus • Black Peppercorns • Cinnamon • Thyme • Star Anise • Whole Cloves

You supply a clean quart Mason jar, 5% acidity apple c***r vinegar, and honey. Add your botanicals, cover completely with vinegar, and let everything infuse for about 4–6 weeks. Strain, sweeten with honey to taste, and you've made your own Bougie Fire C***r.

HOW TO GET YOURS:

For now, Bougie Fire C***r will NOT be available on our website.

Today?

Today it smells like an apothecary and a pickle factory had a baby. 😂🥒🔥

We’re dehydrating all of those beautiful, vinegar-soaked Fire C***r ingredients to turn them into a delicious, flavor-packed seasoning.

Is it a bad smell? Not exactly.

Is it aggressively fragrant and currently occupying every square inch of my house?

ABSOLUTELY. 😂

At this point, I’m pretty sure even the curtains are seasoned.
