We specialize in 18 karat jewelry and untreated gemstones. With our LASER WELDER, just about any repair in precious metal is possible, all done on-site! Have a chipped or rough gemstone? A quick behind the scenes snippet of some of the process of a ring being resized.

The traditional way of repairing jewelry is using solder. We switched from soldering to laser welding about 15 years ago. When soldering, a metal of a lower melting temperature is used to bond the metals, resulting in a weak spot that will show over time. With the laser welder, we can pinpoint exactly where we need to work and use gold, platinum, or silver wire of the same purity to weld the metals together, resulting in a much stronger, longer lasting repair.

Our jewelry repairs are done in house and do not get sent out!

Meet the staff:

Happy Birthday to our bench jeweler and co vice president Ben! Ben graduated from G.I.A with his Graduate Jeweler and Graduate Gemologist degrees 16 years ago. He is a wizard at the laser welder. Which has made him be able to do the work of multiple bench jewelers. Customers do not get to see him much, since he works behind the scenes, but his bench work speaks for itself!
