The theme for the October open house this year is up-cycle, restore and redesign.
🍁Fall is here and Open House season begins! Once again Casa Kira is open, refreshed and reinvigorated.
I have acquired, collected, and been gifted a large variety of materials. Stones, beads, buttons, coins and cloisonné; modern, vintage, and antique. Older pieces, missing parts, orphan earrings, broken chains. Beautiful art that is no longer worn. This fall I have been breathing new life into these parts and pieces that hold the history and energy of families from around the world. I am acquiring less new material, and am up-cycling old.

I ’m taking such pleasure in sorting through these older pieces and renewing and redesigning them for a new generation.

I look forward to welcoming you back to the studio on SUNDAY, October 25.

I repeat and please note: this open house is on Sunday and not Saturday.

And as always, we will have snacks and drinks.
The creation station on the patio will be stocked with all the supplies you need to create your own Autumnal cards and crafts.

I rescued these gorgeous vintage Czech glass beads from a broken necklace and they now have new lives as earrings for you.

Because of the high price of gold and silver right now, most old pieces being sold today are simply being melted down for their precious metals. Gorgeous, artistic pieces with historical value,
