I wanted to go through the process I use to create your merchandise you order. I can do vinyl, DTF or Sublimation processes. Today I will talk about doing DTF "Direct To Film" graphics placed on any type of shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie, flannel, etc.
Yes...this gives away all of my process "secrets" đŸ˜† but I feel it is important that my customers understand the process and that it is not always as simple as most think and that i do the extra to make sure it is a quality product.
1st...doing the graphic. I can create the graphic, or I can take a graphic you give me as it is or make adjustments to it as requested. I do not have a DTF printer which is best to use on cotton or dark shirts. These printers for large orders like I do cost $15k to $25k and fill up a whole room. They are very high maintenance also. So it is more cost effective for me to order from my wholesaler and they ship to me in just a couple of days. That way I can keep your wholesale - resale cost to your advantage. I also do sample shirts so you can see the product before you place your order.
2nd - making the shirt...I press every shirt to make sure the moisture is out of the shirt.
3rd - I measure the placement of the graphic on every shirt.
4th - the graphic DTF film is pressed on the shirt. I then do something very important...I do a finishing press with using Magic Seal spray and a Magic Pro pressing sheet. That pushes the DTF graphic more into the shirt.
5th - when taken off the press I do a small stretch each direction of the shirt. This softens the DTF some.
So for DTF each shirt gets pressed 3 times...if there is a graphic on both sides of the shirt it gets pressed 5 times.
Later I will explain Sublimation and it's process.
