Ken had to take a bit of a break due to low blood numbers in different areas. He was determined to finish his 12th treatment and did so last Tuesday. We recieved the report from his last scans and it looks like the two tumors in the right lung are responding. One has calcified, which is great news, and the other has shrunk to 3mm and is stable. The tumor in the liver has changed from 1.2 cm to 7mm. The tumor in the colon was hard to understand the report so we will wait and see what the doctor says on Monday the 31st.
We take all of this news as a huge win! We couldn't do this without the support of God, family & friends. So we thank you all for being our strength through the hardest battle of our lives. Ken is such a fighter and we are so proud of him. Love to all, the Newman's.

My huge tree was removed on Friday and I am happy to report that the damage to Arti, my little shop, wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been.
One cracked window, one fascia board and two pieces of metal roofing that was dented. No major holes that would let water in thank goodness. I feel very lucky. Thank you everyone for showing such care and making me feel hopeful when I was feeling so discouraged.

A possible tornado hit our town and took out one of our big trees today while we were at treatment this morning. Unfortunately it landed on my studio. 😭 We are all OK and my house shows no signs of damage thank goodness. Whew! Life, am I right?

I am making 14 angel key chains/purse charms or car mirror dangles for the staff at the cancer center here in Urbana. We are lucky enough to have them here in our hometown. They truly are Angels 😇. Julie Knight, you gave me a well needed chuckle, thank you!

I have had many people contact me for an update on hubby. Ken had scans done after treatment #5 and we are encouraged by the results. Left lung tumor is gone, the 3 right lung tumors have decreased by 1/3, all lymph nodes are now clear and the large tumor in the colon has decreased by 1/2. We have decided to continue with chemo since it is working. He just finished #7 and has 5 more scheduled. He will have more scans in the near future and then possible surgery to remove any remaining tumor.
We believe that all of the prayers, love and care that is being sent to us from everyone has been a huge reason for Ken's healing and positive attitude. We are blessed beyond measure to have such wonderful continued support. Thank you! We love and appreciate you all so much. Love, Ken, Kim and family.

We need all of my prayer warriors to lift Ken up today. He was supposed to have a total of 6 treatments and then have scans but the Dr. has ordered scans for this morning after treatment #5.
