Can’t believe I’ve been in the new house for a month and still far from situated. Still oh so much to do until I’m all settled (and oh so much furniture I need! Thanks to the distinct lack of storage/closets in old houses lol).

Definitely don’t have any new work to show so figured I’d share my new soon-to-be dedicated jewelry/craft space :) Will be awesome when I’m all unpacked & moved in, & as tempting as it is to start in on this room, I’m trying to get the bedroom, living room & kitchen sorted first :)

oof moving sucks but it will definitely be nice when i have it all set up. Not a huge room but waaaayyyy better than the crammed corner of the living room i was working with at the old house! :) its just off the living room, so impossible to forget i like making jewelry lol :)

No time for working on anything new.. busy packing up my life & gearing up to move for the first time in 15 years. So.Much.To.Do!! (I’ve been renting and my landlord wants to sell 😞

Amazing how much jewelry making supplies I have had stashed in my corner of the living room! Not to mention the stuff I have on a shelving rack in the back room.. oof. My goodness I have so much POTIENTIAL stashed in this lil corner. Lol

Between my wire wrapping and dabbling with metal smithing etc.. trying to pack it all properly and carefully, so none of my steel tools, hammers, bench blocks, pliers rusts and nothing fragile breaks.

This is not even close to all of it lol

No clue when I’ll get it all situated and sorted and in a new home and be able to start creating again.. but I plan to have a dedicated organized room for it.

I am leaving out my copper wire-wrap-to-go kit though lol on the off chance I have time for it.

Soo overwhelmed by all of this and ohh soo very far behind with it all 😞 how do I just fast forward through all of this and jump to the situated and settled part??

We finally brought dad home from the hospital on Thursday evening! He’s doing alright and very happy to be home. Still a long recovery ahead but progress is good 🙂 Hopefully now the real healing can begin. Lots of new things to track and monitor for now. But hopefully most of it will be temporary, as his heart recovers from the surgeons hard work 🙂

These are all the pendants I made while visiting dad in the hospital this last week. Still need to clean them up and polish them. Excuse the dark fingers lol I had just run my polishing cloth on them.

Pendant I made while visiting dad in ICU on Saturday. Grateful he’s doing well (all things considered). He was just getting ready to transfer to the step down unit when we left.

Pendant is a black sunstone moonstone. Will polish it up at some point. Should I leave it bright and shiny or oxidize/antique it? Decisions decisions.

Dad’s heart bypass & aortic valve replacement surgery was a success! Mom and I finally got to see him around 830pm last night. He looks soo different, especially with his multiple lines and shaved beard. Long recovery ahead but so glad this part is done.

The surgeon told us when he first woke up, dad asked him “Am I dead?” And the surgeon replied “Well, I don’t talk to dead people, so I don’t think so” lol

Finished this Shattuckite heart pendant while we waited and started on a rose cut black sunstone/moonstone one as well. Going to get a lil more sleep before taking mom to go see him again.

Well, dad is having open heart surgery today.. double bypass, aortic valve replacement and ablation.

I brought my copper and a bunch of stones to distract myself, while i wait all day in the hospital with mom.
