Soos Jewelry Design We're located in Brickyard Plaza. John has over 40 years of experience, 30 of those in Venice. He's a detail driven and loves bringing pieces back to life.

Whether it's jewelry repair, refurbishing, or custom design he will exceed your expectations. Soos Jewelry Design is a unique family owned and operated jewelry store.John would love to be your personal jeweler. He would be happy to design and create jewelry that fits your unique style and taste. Do you need a family heirloom restored or redesigned? Having a laser welder allows him to do many repairs most other jewelers can't including some eyeglass repair. He is known for his expert repairs, restorations and custom designs. He also does simple tasks such as watch batteries and watch band sizing. We carry a beautiful assortment of unique lines and artisan jewelry chosen by John's wife, Jeanne. She looks for pieces that can transition from casual to formal. Lines range from fun and funky to elegant and chic. If we don't carry what you're looking for we will be happy to order it or John can design something for you. We’ve decided to concentrate on jewelry repairs and discontinue most retail jewelry. All jewelry will be 20% off this month leading to 50% in December. Gold Jewelry & all chains will remain at 20% off. Consignment & a few other pieces are excluded. John Shaw has moved to RI so his photos are already 50% off. We’ll explain in more detail when you come into shop. Jeanne & John

We're reopening tomorrow (8/18) at 10:30.
John has been told by his doctor he can no longer work 60+ hours a week. So, moving forward to improve his work/life balance and maintaining the high quality of his work we will be making some changes. He has made the difficult decision to reduce the number of custom design orders he accepts. He truly enjoys creating unique pieces for you, this decision was not made lightly. By scaling back he will be able to reduce his working hours and manage stress. Due to reduced hours it will take longer to finish jewelry repairs. He will work hard to complete every piece with great care. Thank you for your understanding, patience and support and valuing his work while we adjust our schedule.

We are writing to inform you that
Soos Jewelry Design is temporarily pausing the acceptance of all new jobs effective immediately.

Unfortunately, John is dealing with a medical issue and needs to step back to focus on his recovery. Delivering high-quality work and attention to detail is his top priority. He will pause new jobs for the next 6-8 weeks.

If you have a project currently in progress:
Rest assured that your work will be completed as planned.

My 66th birthday present. Bought a golden Topaz cabochon a few years ago which John designed this ring for. Green diamonds on sides & he placed sea opal under stone so it will throw colors. I’m a lucky woman.
