I am still making masks but mostly for my grandson, my daughter and their friends. After making more than 1200 masks, I had a lot of small scraps. So, I am putting them together and making what is called a crumb quilt. Some of you may recognize fabric if I made you a special mask.

I’m in quarantine since the beginning of March. With the exception of missing my daughter, son-in-law and my beloved grandson, I am in hog heaven crafting! I’ve made masks for the important people in my life. Need a mask, let me know!

As many of you know, I am a knitter, potter, jewelry maker, and all around artisan and crafts person. While I have always worked with paper - making cards and canvases - I have begun designing and making paper jewelry. I received many positive comments while wearing my pieces in museums and galleries in Italy while on a recent trip! Amazing to have a glass artist in Venice asking about my necklace!!! He spoke no English and me no Italian but we communicated in the language of art and beautiful things!

In the past couple of weeks I have been creating more practical pieces such as personalize t-shirts, baby onsies and cups, wine glasses and other fun things. Keep an eye out for pictures. As always, I am available for commissions for one of a kind pieces. You dream up an idea and I'll make it come to life!

It has been way too long since I have posted on this page....but I have an excuse...sorta. My daughter got married on June 14 and I have been a wedding planner since April 2014. I am now back to being the creative force behind Smiling Camel Creations and will again be posting fun things to browse and buy! Stick with me please and we'll be smiling again!!
