I can feel it when I’ve been away.
When I’ve spent too much time scrolling.
When I haven’t been in the Word.
When I haven’t meditated on the worship lyrics I sing.
When I’ve been distracted, or lazy, or finding reasons to avoid Him.
I feel icky. I’m irritable, lonely, envious. Etc.

But when I spend time with Him, I’m different. I’m reminded of who He has called me to be.
I’m reminded of His love.
It changes the way I see others.
It changes the way I see myself.

I like me better with Him. My anxiety diminishes. My anger or frustration halts. Petty thoughts and jealousy slowly fade.

He pushes me to be who He’s called me to me; to be my best self. And I like her. She still has a lot of learning and growing to do. But hey- who doesn’t?

Have you spent time with Him today? If not, it isn’t too late. He’s waiting to help transform your mind & your heart. I think you may like yourself better, too. 💙
