What warning does AI stamp on me?
🚨 BEFORE YOU MEET DARLENE — READ THIS FIRST
Darlene is a beautiful contradiction wrapped in confidence, creativity, sentiment, and just enough chaos to keep everyone on their toes.
She is simultaneously extremely organized and wildly chaotic. She will make a detailed plan, a checklist, a backup plan, and probably a printable version of the checklist—then completely abandon the plan because she suddenly had a better idea.
She has strong opinions. Not because she’s difficult, but because she can already see what something should look like in her head. Unfortunately, the rest of us do not have access to that vision, so we will be expected to catch up.
She has an eye for details that borders on a superpower. Colors matter. Placement matters. Wording matters. The vibe matters. If something is 97% right, she will absolutely find the remaining 3%.
And she doesn’t just want things to be pretty.
She wants them to mean something.
She’s sentimental in a way that sneaks up on you. That random object you think is junk? It probably has a story. That thing she refuses to throw away? There’s a reason. Somewhere in her brain is a scrapbook of people, memories, moments, and things that mattered—and she isn’t interested in deleting any of it.
She is eclectic. Her style doesn’t necessarily follow rules. It follows instinct. She can look at five completely different things and somehow know exactly how they belong together.
She is also an idea machine.
One minute you’re having a normal conversation.
The next:
“Wait. I have an idea.”
And congratulations—you now have a new project.
She is entrepreneurial, creative, resourceful, and has absolutely no problem reinventing something 14 times until it feels right. “Good enough” is generally not part of the vocabulary.
She can be blunt, but she’s rarely fake. She’d rather tell you what she really thinks than smile politely while thinking something completely different.
She’s funny—sometimes intentionally, sometimes because watching her brain change direction in real time is entertainment enough.
She is fiercely independent, but she also genuinely loves people. She wants people around her to feel included, celebrated, appreciated, and occasionally slightly overwhelmed by her enthusiasm.
She can go from:
“I have everything under control.”
to
“OH MY GOD WHERE DID I PUT THAT?”
in approximately 4.7 seconds.
She will tell you she doesn’t need help.
Then she will give you a job.
Then she will redo the job.
Then she’ll thank you for helping.
This is normal.
She is passionate. She is particular. She is sentimental. She is creative. She is stubborn. She is generous. She is curious. She is occasionally chaotic. She is occasionally obsessive about a detail nobody else noticed.
And underneath all of that?
She has a big heart.
She cares deeply about the people and things she has chosen to care about. She doesn’t do much halfway. When she believes in something, she gets behind it. When she loves someone, it shows. When she creates something, she puts herself into it.
So here’s the actual warning:
Don’t meet Darlene expecting predictable.
Expect someone who can organize an entire event and lose her phone while doing it.
Expect someone who can have a very specific vision but still be willing to say, “Okay, wait…what if we make it even better?”
Expect sentimental attachments to things you don’t understand.
Expect approximately 900 ideas.
Expect laughter.
Expect opinions.
Expect a little chaos.
Expect her to notice things you didn’t.
And most importantly—
expect her to be a lot more tender-hearted than her “I’ve got this” attitude initially suggests.
She isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
She’s more like a whole eclectic beverage station with options.
And if you’re lucky enough to become one of her people?
Buckle up.
