There's something about putting your biggest diamond in your pinky. The most BOSS thing you can get your hands on, on your smallest finger. It says "I'm still here" loud 🖤

I found a note to myself from over 20 years ago. It shared an experience with my ex husband after I touched the thermostat where he responded with outrage, "You are NEVER to touch that again. Do you understand?!"

I read it to my kids, we all laughed, like it's part of an old wild tale they hardly believe. I almost moved on until past-me grabbed my arm suddenly...

The note was begging me to never forget. I find myself wanting to burn it all and just enjoy what I have now. I don't want to watch those episodes again. But ok, Sarah, I will give this some space like you asked.

Today, I wear a killer pinky ring to honor Sarah of 20 years ago. She may have obeyed his commands for a time, but she found something in her that knew there was more for her. She got out. She owns her own space now free of control, anger, and hateful outbursts. She has peace, room for endless creativity, and is surrounded by love. 🫶🏼
